Papa Shirandula’s widow, Beatrice Andega has sensationally accused the Karen Hospital for negligence and sluggishness that reinstated to the death of the legendary actor Charles Bukeko, popularly known as Papa Shirandula.
While speaking in during the burial ceremony, the widow revealed that the thespian died in the car and not in the hospital.
According to Andega, the hospital delayed to attend to Papa Shirandula on time and he had already died in the car. The hospital medics rushed the dead body from the car to the hospital.
“They didn’t prioritize his condition as an emergency, he died in the car, he was yet to be admitted” she said.
Papa Shirandula’s widow further revealed that the hospital only carried out a COVID-19 test on Papa.
“I had requested that they do Pneumonia, Malaria and COVID-19 test on Papa, but the hospital concentrated only on COVID-19” she cried aloud.
“I requested for the three tests but they turned me down on the other two and gave me only COVID-19” Andega added.
On the same note, Papa Shirandula’s father Cosmas Bukeko has also condemned the hospital claiming that he isn’t satisfied with the caricature being cooked by the Karen Hospital that Papa Shirandula died of COVID-19.
“I cannot say anything about his illness until we sit with the hospital, I will travel to Nairobi with his wife and engage lawyer to get proper information from the hospital” Cosmas said.
Papa Shirandula has been laid to rest this morning at his home Nanderema, Funyula in Busia county.
